Marseille is one of the most visited cities in France.  The Old Port, which is the natural harbour, is also the most popular place there. Marseille is famous for its  beaches, history, architecture and culture, there are  24 museums and 42 theatres.













The medieval city of Avignon with its 39 towers and 7 gates is famous for the illuminated Palace of the Popes, which is situated at the beautiful main square dated from the 15th century. The vast fortified castle was built between 1335 and 1364 and was home to a succession of nine popes. These popes fought for control of the Catholic church until Rome's pope finally prevailed. In summer inhabitants and tourists enjoy the Theatre Festival, which also includes street art.







Orange is the town where Van Gogh committed himself to an asylum after cutting off a piece of his left ear. The Antique Theatre is a well- preserved Roman theatre that is used today for concerts and other events.The Triumphal Arch is the place which celebrates the victories of Julius Caesar.
